Itinerary and highlights

The city of Porto begins at this point, we are on Pena Ventosa hill, this could be our starting or finishing point of our tour. It is worth appreciating the fantastic Cathedral building dating from the 17th century. XII. Still in the same square we have a majestic Bishop's Palace (18th century).

Mandatory stop at one of the most beautiful train stations in the world. Inside, be amazed by the 20 thousand tiles designed by an important painter from the city.

The main market in the city center, here delight yourself with the variety of fresh products on offer, from fruit and vegetables to fresh fish, seafood, cod, cans of canned sardines, among others. Recently renovated, it also includes tasting stands and restaurants.

We will take a break here for a coffee and enjoy typical Portuguese sweets.

One of the most popular viewpoints, located on the south bank of the Douro River, in Vila Nova de Gaia. Here you will have the opportunity to be dazzled by the view over Porto and the banks of the Douro River.

On the way back to Porto we will pass through Batalha square and appreciate a building of great aesthetic beauty, the majestic Teatro Nacional de São João.

The main traditional shopping street, here you can find the most varied stores of multinational brands. On this artery you will find one of the most beautiful cafes in Europe: Majestic.

A pleasant place to enjoy a fabulous view over the historic district of Miragaia and the Douro River. It is also a favorite place for Porto residents to enjoy a beautiful sunset.

This emblematic square in Ribeira do Porto features some of the most notable and must-visit historical buildings, such as the Palácio da Bolsa or the Church of São Francisco

This fantastic interactive museum space, entirely dedicated to the Portuguese Discoveries, is a must-visit for anyone who also wants to learn a little about the history of Porto and the country.

In this bucolic and unique green space next to the mouth of the Douro River, be amazed by the species of plants and trees that make up this "green lung", next to the historic neighborhood of Foz Velha.

Here we will discover the historic neighborhood of Foz Velha, with its centuries-old houses and narrow streets where the Porto aristocracy lives.

Still through Foz do Douro, we head north along the Atlantic avenues of Porto (Brazil and Montevideo). We arrived in Matosinhos, land of horizon and sea. Here you can find the best restaurants to eat fish and seafood.

Returning to Porto, we will take a brief break near the mouth of the Douro River. We are next to Passeio Alegre Gardens.

An obligatory stopping point to observe an incredible landscape, on the south bank the fishing "village" of São Pedro de Afurada and the local ornithological reserve of the Douro estuary.

On the way back to the starting point, there will still be time to pass by the Cordoaria garden, the Lello bookstore and the Clérigos tower (the tallest tower in the city).

This beautiful square has great architectural harmony, every Saturday there is an alternative street market that is worth visiting.

After the square, we passed the Carmo church with a fantastic tile panel and the Carmelitas church.
