Itinerary and highlights
The Temple of Diana was built between the 1st and 2nd century AD as a tribute to Emperor Augustus. The Roman Temple sits at the highest point in the city, and, along with the historic city center, was classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986.
The Chapel of Bones was built in the 17th century on the initiative of three Franciscan friars whose purpose was to transmit the message of the transience and fragility of human life.
