Itinerary and highlights
The Douro Vinhateiro, a wonderful kingdom, where Man is still governed by Nature, full of traditions and stories that last for generations!
Following one of the most stunning roads in the region, we arrive at a wine production farm in the region. In conversation with a guide, we get to know the Quinta, the vineyards, the history and technique of wine production on the Quinta. At the end, we enjoy a commented wine tasting, in full delight with the Douro valley.
During the journey, we have the opportunity to stop at one of the iconic Miradouros da Douro to enjoy the surrounding landscape.
Here, we have the opportunity to relax on a trip along the Douro River, in a “Rabelo” boat (typical boat)*. During this boat trip, we can appreciate the surrounding landscape, defined by the terraced slopes, while enjoying the silence that not even the river dares to break, in full harmony and serenity with Nature.
Lunch at a traditional Portuguese cuisine restaurant.
Before finishing, crossing paths and historic villages, we visit a second wine production farm, in the region, to learn more about the wines produced in this region, full of complexity and character.
