It was the first romantic palace, having been built 30 years before the other romantic palace known in Bavaria. Here you will see an interesting cliff formation near Cascais that received the overly dramatic name from the mouth of Hell. The incessant crash of the Atlantic Ocean on the cliffs carved a small cave that later collapsed forming a small bay and natural arch.
Cabo de Roca:
This is the westernmost point of continental Europe. It was believed that wind-swept cliffs were the end of the world until the end of the fourteenth century and the spectacular and desolate scenery increases the fascination of the place.
