Walk through the Arco de Almedina, the historic gateway linking Coimbra’s upper and lower city. This stop helps explain the medieval structure of the city and the relationship between academic, civic and commercial life.

Lunch is intentionally flexible and not included in the base price. Guests may choose where and when to pause. Options may include a traditional restaurant in Coimbra, a lighter meal, or continuing toward Bairrada for Leitão à Bairrada depending on timing and preference.

Transfer from Coimbra to Bairrada Wine Region

After lunch, continue into the Bairrada wine region, especially the Mealhada area. This short transfer shifts the day from academic and royal heritage to sparkling wine, cellar tradition and regional gastronomy.
